MONDAY IS STARCHILD VEGETABLE DAY AT THE SOUP KITCHEN

Thanks to the generous support from several wonderful people and groups, I have decided that I can make Monday a regular day for a delivery of vegetables to the soup kitchen. Most of the meals previously have been carbohydrate based, which is more cost-effective, but it is fresh vegetables that build the immune system to create health and well-being. Also, in spiritual terms, fresh fruit and vegetables provide strong "light" energy from the sun in the form of recently synthesized natural sugars, while processed food is mostly "dead" in terms of light energy.

The young man in this image is a young German who has come to South Africa to do volunteer work in the kitchen. He always helps me to carry the vegetables to the kitchen. Here it is a chilly and misty early Monday morning......

And a willing volunteer to help carry....

Also the Tomatoes....and the Potatoes were a bit too heavy for one.....

And so, here is "Grandma", who is in charge of the cooking at the kitchen, busy preparing the vegetable stew for lunch....from the Starchild readers........and to you a big THANK YOU again!

And...just in passing....since I was taking photographs, the street cleaning ladies demanded that I take their picture too!

I just love those African faces. Since their lives are so far from the "glamor" of western culture, what tends to emerge is the "real" person, with levels of wisdom and beauty that are quite unique and individual.

These two were just passing, and wanted to have their pictures taken as well!
