
Dear Starchild Readers, there has been so much that has happened at the soup kitchen in the three months since Starchild Global started with the Sir Lowry's Pass Village Soup Kitchen as a project. Remember...this was what the Soup Kitchen looked like when we started:

And so, after the work and all the help from you, the Starchild Global community, and the community here in Sir Lowry's Pass, you can feel the difference. Here the children make use of the newly enclosed play area. We hired a local member of the community to cut down alien trees as part of an alien clearing program in the area. He then created the natural organic "wall" that encloses the play area, providing a sense of security but also allowing light to come through:

The children are so proud of their newly decorated soup kitchen, and this group asked to have their picture taken against the backdrop of the bright images:

We also donate one meal a week, a vegetable stew, which is so needed by these children from impoverished backgrounds who do not have access at home to fresh vegetables and fruit. Here Emily makes up a vegetable stew that will be served with rice for three hundred hungry children:
